| Author: hj (AZ) Y'all need a new cartridge because the balancing spool is stuck. You tin can either telephone call Delta and await a week for them to send you one, or buy one at Dwelling Depot. You take to know the model of the faucet either way considering they have different versions. |

| Author: hj (AZ) The hard role, equally i of the post-obit question indicates, may be getting the old one out. Once that is washed, it is a simple matter to insert the new i, making sure it is oriented the aforementioned style equally the former one was, and replacing the retainer nut. |

| Writer: redwood (CT) Commonly taking the cartridge with yous will be sufficient to get the new one. Or, See if you tin find your valve hither to get a parts breakdown. Exist carefull taking the bonnet nut off. If yous are not comfortable with this I would suggest a plumber. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Since 1995 (3 years before Google started) PlumbingSupply.com has been THE best plumbing supplier on the web. | Writer: timmyjimmy5150 (IL) Once I get the new cartridge..... I unscrew the bonnet cover and remove the quondam cartridge, correct? Do I demand to turn the water off to do this? the main water supply that is..... |
| Re: no hot h2o from single handle tub/shower |

| Writer: redwood (CT) Yes, before the bonnet nut is attempted the whole house must be shut off in about cases. Unless there are valves which isolate only the tub/shower. Unless y'all have a positive ID on the cartridge from the web link I provided above I would take out the cartridge and bring it with you for matching purposes. There are a few models where the valve is split in the valve body and not in the cartridge also. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Since 1995 (three years before Google started) PlumbingSupply.com has been THE best plumbing supplier on the web. | Author: hj (AZ) No need to remove the cover plate. The retaining nut is exterior the wall once you slide the comprehend tube off. |

| Author: justaguy (NV) Howdy all. I may have the exact same problem, but I was wondering if anyone would care to speculate otherwise. I'g buying a 3 yr old home, and upon domicile inspection, the unmarried-handle type valve (in the shower) emits h2o on one side (either hot or cold; I didn't examine it myself) but not the other; all other faucets work fine. It is a foreclosure, and so the firm may take been sitting for some time, which might be key because of corrosion build upward over time. I'm but wondering if it might exist really likely that the whole entire pipe for 1 side might be entirely backed up and needs to be entirely ripped out rather than but being the valve. Nosotros are in winter, but pipes would never freeze where I live (in the desert in Las Vegas). Has anyone ever had an incidence where water wouldn't come out, and it turned out that the unabridged piping had to exist ripped out? |
